Architecture in the Middle East I

Monica Cirstea

We’ve already found out some facts about the architecture in Europe and Romania – well, there is still a lot more to explore in our Old Continent and accurate and attractive articles, as you got used to, will come soon. However, what would you say about a change of topic these days? Today, we’ll start discussing about particularities of architecture in different areas of the world, stating impressions and sharing our feelings and experiences. That’s how it works when studying architecture: feeling at ease when learning is a must. Everything is just about gaining a broad-minded attitude and a wide general knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere: architecture, far from being an obligation, is art, something that is not to be done under pressure, but with our own will.

My suggestion for today is to wind down, pour yourself a cup of fragrant coffee and listen to that touching, sweet music that can be found only in the kingdom of the sun and the endless summer. Because, today, you are going to read about the Architecture in the Middle East!!

Middle East architecture

So charming, isn’t it? The architecture in the Middle East expresses the warmth and the instant appeal that those countries has over the tourists. The vast deserts that seem endless, the most luxurious and modern beaches in the world, the richness of these places, both spiritual and material, their fascinating history and that unique atmosphere that one can encounter only here… For all this aspects, the Middle East is second-to-none, and the architecture reflects everything that makes the oriental spirit to stand out from the crowd. Everything, from the breathtaking mosques with sparkling mosaics to the gigantic domes and minarets show infinite devotion to details.

Architecture has been the main artistic expression there for thousands of years. Here are more architectural wonders than in any other continent. Even nowadays, the rapid development of the Middle East countries offers us countless outstanding samples of modern architecture, which hold the world records. So innovative, so intriguing, at the same time… There is no doubt that the Middle East would be the perfect choice for an architectural expedition… So, let us follow the steps of the old caravans. Let the legend of the magic lamp become real!
